Avian influenza — also known as bird flu — has killed about 10,000 chickens in Ghana.
This was made known by the Ministry of Health, Ghana.
According to the Ministry, the virus has affected chicken products as well.
Ghana last recorded bird flu in 2015. The Ministry indicated the flu is spreading from the neighbouring of countries Togo, Nigeria, Niger, Burkina Faso, Mauritania and Senegal.
