Chelsea and France midfielder, N’golo Kante, has emerged the UEFA Champions League Midfielder of the season for 2020/2021.
Kante won the prestigious award on Thursday, August 26, 2021, following his brilliant performance last season.
He helped Chelsea to the final of the UEFA Champions League last season, eventually winning the title after a 1 – 0 defeat over English rivals, Manchester City.
Kante was announced winner of the award at the ongoing draw for the UEFA Champions League 2021/2022 season.
The draw is taking place in Istanbul, Turkey.
In a post sighted by African Entertainment on its official Instagram page, UEFA says “magnificent. N’Golo Kante takes the award for #UCL Midfielder of the season.”
