Jeannie Mai is rumored to be replacing Kandi Burruss on RHOA in celebrity entertainment news. According to the show’s producer, the new season is expected to be one of the best in YEARS. But the show producers are looking to upgrade the cast, with a new “big star” housewife.
In the upcoming season, the show will feature Housewives Sheree, Marlo, Kenya, Drew, Sonya, and Kandi.
According to MTO, the producer explained, “Sheree and Marlo are the stars of this season. Drew brought the drama, and so did Kenya. But Sonya and Kandi are on the chopping block.”
The producer continued, “Kandi was boring this season, and she’s the highest paid Housewife. She’s gone after this season.”
The producer claims that they are looking to bring The Real star Jeannie Mai to join the cast.
Jeannie and her husband Jeezy have a home in Atlanta, and split their time between Atlanta and Los Angeles, where The Real is filmed.
And Jeannie will make an appearance this upcoming season too. The producer told MTO News that the midseason finale is a vow renewal of Drew and her husband Ralph. The ceremony was attended by many women in the entertainment industry including Keri Hilson, Claudia Jordan, Nivea, Jeannie Mai (with Jeezy) and Chilli.
Kandi Burruss had contemplated leaving RHOA previously.
During an interview with The Jasmine Brand, Kandi Burruss opened up about the possibility of her leaving RHOA after being a part of the show for 12 seasons. “You just contemplate, like, I don’t know, ‘When is your time?’” she told the outlet on Thursday. “It’s not like it’s not like a definite answer, you know what I mean.” Even though Kandi, who won season three of The Masked Singer, enjoys being a part of the show and filming with the women, sometimes the stress can get to her. “It is stressful at times. It is a lot going on, you know, but I do love the fans. I love the support of the fans,” she admitted. Being a part of an ensemble cast such as RHOA can be emotionally taxing, as the women are expected to be in some sort of conflict.
