Karan Johar announced yesterday that he will be returning to the director’s chair after five years. Filmfare broke the news that this is the same film that he had been planning with Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh and the big announcement is finally here.
Treating his fans on his birthday, Ranveer Singh posted a motion teaser of the title, followed by Alia and Karan. Titled Rocky and Rani Ki Prem Kahani, the film will be an entertaining love story and the second time after Gully Boy that Alia and Ranveer will share the big screen. The film is written by Shashank Khaitan, Ishita Moitra and Sumit Roy and is expected to hit the big screens in 2022.
Announcing the news, Ranveer wrote on social media, “A special announcement on my special day! Presenting – Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani along with my dazzling supernova Alia Bhatt, directed by the genre himself, kaleidoscopic visionary Karan Johar, & written by Ishita Moitra, Shashank Khaitan & Sumit Roy.
