In proper Gen Z fashion, Olympic figure skating gold medalist Alysa Liu will perform to the “Stateside” remix by Pinkpathress and Zara Larson at the Exhibition Gala on Saturday.
After the 20-year-old figure skater gold medal winning performance in the women’s free skate on Thursday at the 2026 Milan Cortina Olympics, Liu gave NBC the inside scoop on her performance plans for the Exhibition Gala.
“I’m going to do the Olympic Gala performance and I’ll have a new program to ‘Stateside’ by PinkPantheress and Zara Larsson, the remix,” she said. “I’ll have a new dress and I’m going to perform once again on the big stage.”
Liu will skate to the viral song in the Gala event that is known as one of figure skating’s “most cherished traditions” on Saturday.
Unlike in Olympic competition, the Exhibition Gala is an event with no scores or medals at stake — “just pure artistic freedom,” according to the International Skating Union.
Liu is joined by several favorites from the 2026 Milan Cortina Olympics, including Alysa Liu, Ilia Malinin, Amber Glenn, Madison Chock and Evan Bates and more.
The full lineup of skaters performing at the Exhibition Gala can be found here.
The Exhibition Gala is scheduled to start at 1 p.m. CT on Saturday at the Milano Ice Skating Arena and will continue until 3:30 p.m.

Liu’s gala performance won’t be the only time she has brought Gen Z trends to the Olympic stage during the 2026 Milan Cortina Games. Liu also gained attention throughout the competition for her striped hairstyle and mouth piercing.
U.S. figure skater Alysa Liu discusses her hairstyle and gives a shoutout to a St. Louis hair stylist who made sure she looked perfect at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships.
