A staff of Asheshi University, Frances Awua-Kyerematen, has died from complications of Coronavirus.
She died few days after celebrating her birthday.
Tributes are being poured in for her on social media from loved ones and friends.
The late Mrs Awua-Kyerematen was the Associate Director of Students Life and Engagement at Ashesi University.
African Entertainment has gathered that she died on January 15, 2021.
Ghana is currently facing a resurgence of the coronavirus. President Nana Akufo-Addo on Sunday night January 17, 2021 told the nation that Ghana’s treatment centers were full with Covid-19 patients. He said the country was recording on average, 200 confirmed cases of coronavirus daily, with deaths linked to the virus increasing to 352.
Mrs Awua-Kyeremanten had worked as coach, counselor and advisor, and first joined Ashesi’s Admissions and Financial Aid Office in 2017.
At the Financial Aid Office, she helped identify and recruit students into Ashesi and joined the Office of Students and Community Affairs in 2019.
