President Buhari’s son-in-law, Ahmed Indimi has been called out for getting vaccinated against the novel coronavirus.
The businessman who lives in the UAE recently got heavily criticized after he shared photos of himself getting a Covid-19 vaccination on Instagram.
One IG user wrote: “You guys are all running abroad to take the vaccines? So the one your father in-law purchased, who will now take it…. Masses abi. Una well done”.
In his defence, Indimi who is married to Zahra Buhari replied that it was a more economic choice to opt for vaccination in his country of residence as opposed to getting it in Nigeria.
“First thing first calm down, I am not going to take this down because it’s not Public page but my private page. I don’t hold any office and I have the fundamental right to take the vaccine wherever and whenever I want it. I posted this to encourage people to get vaccinated, it’s safe and it might save lives.
“There is nothing more to it however it’s a free world, you can take it and interpret it as you want it. I am a resident of UAE before I got married, my marriage won’t change this fact, I spend a lot of time here. It doesn’t make any economic sense for me to fly to Nigeria to take the vaccine while it’s available here. Covid is real and I don’t have the luxury of getting exposed wherever it might be, nothing but respect and love but I just had to voice it out”.
