English Premier League club, Chelsea have reportedly sacked head coach, Frank Lampard.
Lampard had been in charge of Chelsea for the past 18 months.
But international media reports monitored by African Entertainment revealed that he had been relieved his post following Chelsea’s recent poor form.
Chelsea are ninth on the 2020/2021 Premier League table.
They suffered a defeat at Leicester City last week. They only managed one win in their last five games.
Lampard’s final game in charge was the 3-1 FA Cup fourth round win against Championship side Luton on Sunday, January 24, 2021.
It would be recalled that Lampard, a former Chelsea player was appointed in July 2019 for a three-year contract, replacing Italian manager, Maurizio Sarri.

Lampard who played alongside John Terry, and Didier Drogba, remains Chelsea’s all-time record scorer.
He scored 211 goals for Chelsea between 2001 and 2014. He spent 13 seasons with Chelsea as a player, making 648 appearances and winning 11 major trophies – including four Premier League titles and the 2012 Champions League.
