Runners and walkers for the popular Bank of America Chicago 13.1 half marathon will soon fill city streets, and a number of road closures for drivers come with it.
The race, scheduled for Sunday, June 7, starts and ends in Garfield Park but weaves through a number of iconic Chicago neighborhoods along the way, with road closures starting long before the race kicks off.
As the day approaches, here’s what to know.
Timeline for Bank of America Chicago 13.1 half marathon
The race officially kicks off at 7 a.m. at Garfield Park. Runners must be capable of maintaining a 15-minute per mile pace or faster to complete the race within the required three hours and 15 minutes.
