
I-80 westbound in suburban Joliet was shut down Monday afternoon after a crash, Illinois State Police said, with delays expected as authorities work to investigate.
ISP posted about the crash, in the westbound lanes of I-80 near Briggs Avenue, at 1:43 p.m. Monday. According to ISP, all westbound lanes were closed and traffic was being diverted onto IL-30/Maple Avenue.
“Expect delays,” ISP said.
As of 2:30 p.m., Traffic Net reported lanes still closed, with solid traffic and backups as far as Francis Road.
