Brown was subsequently charged with felony assault and making criminal threats on March 5. He pleaded guilty to a felony on June 22 of that year and accepted a plea deal of community labor, five years’ probation and domestic violence counseling.

After completing the yearlong domestic violence course in 2010, Brown posted to Twitter, “I have enough self respect and decency to be proud of accomplishing this DV class. Boyz run from [their] mistakes. Men learn from them!!!”
During that time, Diddy decided to play devil’s advocate, as if there was a way to protect Chris Brown and manipulate Rihanna into staying with him.
While interviewing on the Ellen Degeneres Show, Diddy explained his excuse for allowing Chris Brown and Rihanna to stay at his place for mediation.
Diddy told Ellen, his motivation was solely as a friend to offer a place for “two people to sit down and talk about a situation they’re in.
“It’s my house, and I’m allowed to give my house to whoever I want to give my house to,” he said to DeGeneres. “I don’t cast a stone, cast judgment on anybody. So if friends ask me for a favor, then I’m going to be there for a favor as long as I know the energy of the favor is positive.”
Additionally, Diddy described Chris Brown and Rihanna’s dv as the couple in their darkest time. This is the same excuse in Diddy’s apology to Cassie.
Diddy also described his past as the darkest times during an award acceptance at the BET awards, while mentioning Cassie. In which he had also in previous years posed on the BET red carpet with Kim Porter and Cassie, who allegedly taunted Porter prior to her dv with Diddy.
Diddy’s apology to Cassie also mentions him asking God for mercy. In which he stated during the Ellen show that Rihanna and Chris Brown needed prayers.
According to sources, Diddy was attending TD Jakes church to attempt to use the Potter House pastor as a clutch, appearing to be evolving into a better man.
Diidy and his family have been seen on the front roll of TD Jakes church several times. Diddy also shared a video of him seemingly catching the holy ghost a few years back. It seems as though the man who changed his name to Love, may be missing an important factor in redemption, that is Matthew 6:5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
Attempting to gain redemption from sharing intimate moments with God never works.
