Elliot Page Divorce

The couple has been married for three years.

Elliot Page, the star of Juno and Umbrella Academy, has filed for divorce.

According to TMZ, the 33-year-old just submitted the legal documents in Manhattan seeking the dissolution of his marriage to Emma Portner.

In a joint statement to the Hollywood Reporter, they said, “After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce following our separation last summer. We have the utmost respect for each other and remain close friends.”

The split comes nearly two months after Elliot came out as trans.

Emma publicly supported her husband at the time. She shared his letter on Instagram and wrote in the caption, “I am so proud of Elliot. Trans, queer and non-binary people are a gift to this world.”
