Fatal crash closes outbound Eisenhower Expressway in Chicago – NBC Chicago



A fatal multi-vehicle crash closed the outbound lanes of the Eisenhower Expressway Sunday morning.

According to Illinois State Police, a three-vehicle crash unfolded Sunday at approximately 11:10 a.m. in the outbound lanes of the Eisenhower near 25th Street in Chicago.

At least three people were taken to area hospitals, and one of those individuals has been pronounced dead.

All outbound lanes of the highway were closed at approximately 11:18 a.m. for clean-up and an investigation, according to authorities.
