Ghana has seen yet another rise in its coronavirus related deaths.
Data African Entertainment obtained from the Ghana Health Service (GHS) official Twitter handle showed that at least nine more deaths caused by coronavirus have been recorded in Ghana.
According to GHS in its case management update on Saturday, February 6, 2021, the country’s Covid19 death toll has increased from 440 to 449.
Furthermore, GHS reported that Ghana has recorded some 791 new confirmed cases of the virus, raising its active case count to 6,095, noting that confirmed cases now stand at 70,046, with clinical recoveries around 63,502, according to GHS.
Ghana recorded its first two cases of coronavirus in March 2020 and has since then been struggling to eradicate the virus from its shores despite several preventive measures it has so far put in place.
