Ghana Shuts Down TV Stations in Crackdown Against Money doubling; priestess arrested

National security operatives in Ghana have shut down two television stations.

A self-style priestess, Patricia Asiedu popularly known as Nana Agradaa, has also been arrested.

The arrest and closures of the two television stations form part of Government’s crackdowns on fake money doublers and spiritualists who flood TV stations with commercials on overnight riches.

The stations namely Thunder TV and Ice 1 TV are believed to be owned by Nana Agradaa.

Equipment and assets belonging to the stations are reported to have been seized in government’s crackdown against ‘fake money doubling’.
