An incident in suburban Hanover Park led to a large police presence, with multiple roads blocked as witnesses reporting possible SWAT teams outside a home.
According to a 4 a.m. Facebook post from the Hanover Park Police Department, the “isolated incident” was in the 6500 block of Church Street.
“There is a heavy police presence in the area and roads are blocked,” the post said.
Police advised drivers to take alternate routes, with streets including Church, Maple, Lake and Barrington all closed with no foot or vehicle traffic allowed.
About 6:43 a.m., a witness on a nearby Metra train told NBC Chicago what appeared to be police cars and possibly one SWAT car could be seen in the area.
No further details about the incident were provided.
