Stonebwoy recently got in the back books of social media savvy Ghanaians for a tweet he shared reacting to Burna Boy and Wizkid’s Grammy wins.
The Dancehall star singer tweeted a shoutout to the Nigerian stars but also took a major swipe at the Ghanaian music industry.
“With All Due Respect Let All other African Nations Give It Up For Nigeria For their Constant efforts in Holding the Mantle for Africa when it comes to entertainment On The Global Scene. Congrats for holding it down at the Grammys.. As for Ghana, smh I’ll be back..”, Stonebwoy tweeted.
With All Due Respect Let All other African Nations Give It Up For Nigeria ??
For their Constant efforts in Holding the Mantle for Africa when it comes to entertainment On The Global Scene. Congrats for holding it down at the Grammys..
As for Ghana ??, smh I’ll be back..— 1GAD (@stonebwoyb) March 15, 2021
Though tweeted with all due respect, Stonebwoy’s tweet was interpreted as him undermining the effort of the Ghanaian industry or so the reaction implies.

Lots of you don’t have the talent and the few of you who do,are as stale as last 2weeks tea bread. No creativity whatsoever. Blame yourselves and stop blaming Ghana as a whole. Ghana is getting accolades in other sectors. Music sector isn’t cos most of you are wack! Madness! https://t.co/Hv6uRvjuU8

That last statement wasn’t needed. Why not relocate and change nationality? We’ll be here waiting for weakass. Making horrible music and then wanting to blame the nation for your weakass career! https://t.co/Hv6uRvjuU8
