Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie, has penned a heartwarming piece to celebrate his daughter, Daniela Edochie’s 16th birthday.
Daniela is his first daughter and in his birthday message to her on Instagram, he recounted how he could not afford to raise money for her medical bills back in 2005 when she was born.
Recounting his economic challenges of the past, Yul Edochie, who is seeking to become Nigeria’s President, revealed
“I still remember that beautiful day in 2005 when you were born. How happy we were to have you. The nurses said you were the cutest baby ever born in that hospital. You never stopped smiling at everyone.
That was also the year I joined Nollywood.”
He added “I remember how broke I was then and couldn’t afford 22k for hospital bills (???) But your birth brought blessings to your mother @mayyuledochie and I.”
However, in his post sighted by African Entertainment, he stated that his inability to afford his daughter’s medical bills ‘gingered’ him to work hard in the movie industry, making him a household name in Nollywood.
