Kasia Lenhardt, the supermodel Ex-Girlfriend of Germany and Bayern Munich defender, Jerome Boateng, has allegedly committed suicide.
Ms. Lenhardt, aged 25, according to multiple international and local German media reports, killed herself on Tuesday, February 9, 2021.
Her death comes about a week after she and Jerome Boateng broke up. Jerome had accused her of blackmailing him into a relationship as earlier reported by German media outfit, Bild.
They had been together for months prior to their breakup. They have a son called Noah.
Reports say Tuesday, February 9, the day on which Lenhardt murdered herself was Noah’s sixth birthday.
Jerome was with the Bayern Munich team in Doha, Qatar for the Club World Cup when the alleged suicide occured.
Following the announcement of Lenhardt’s death on Wednesday morning, February 10, 2021, Jerome had to cut his stay in Qatar short and return to Berlin, Germany.
Reports gathered by African Entertainment suggest that Jerome Boateng owns the luxury apartment in which his Ex-Girlfriend committed the suicide.
German police, according to the Daily Mail, have said they are not treating her death “as suspicious.”
Lenhardt is a Polish-born model. She reportedly became angry after she breakup with Jerome a week ago. Jerome is reported to have accused her of blackmailing him into a relationship, causing a rift with his family, and of having a ‘massive’ problem with alcohol in German media.
“We will go our separate ways from now on. That is regrettable, but for my family and for me it is the only right one. I had to take this step and draw a line. I apologise to everyone I’ve hurt especially with my ex-girlfriend Rebecca and our children,” Jerome was quoted to have said when announcing their breakup.
“I am disappointed in myself too. A man has to take responsibility and act in the interests of his family and I’m doing it now,” he added.
