Joe Biden To Impose Coronavirus Travel Restrictions on South Africa

President Joe Biden is reportedly expected to impose travel restrictions on South Africa today, January 25, 2021.

The move, according to a report African Entertainment monitored on Associated Press (AP) is in response to the new coronavirus variant in South Africa.

Reports say the new coronavirus variant from South Africa has been detected in the US.

Meanwhile, reports say Mr Biden is also going to reinstate Coronavirus induced travel restrictions on a number of countries today, January 25, 2021.

Reports say Mr Biden is reversing an order from former President Donald Trump in his final days in office that pushed for the relaxation of the travel restrictions as of Tuesday.

The travel restrictions will be reinstated on n non-US travelers from Brazil, Ireland, the United Kingdom, according to reports.

The restrictions are also to be reinstated on non-US travelers from 26 other European countries that allow travel across open borders.
