President-elect, Joe Biden, and Vice President-Elect, Kamala Harris are billed to be sworn into office today, Wednesday, January 20, 2021.
Below is the schedule for the inauguration. All times listed below are Mountain Time.
6:45 a.m. President-Elect Biden will attend a church service at the Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle, accompanied by Dr. Jill Biden, Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris and Mr. Douglas Emhoff.
8:30 a.m. President-Elect Biden scheduled to arrive at the U.S. Capitol
9:15 a.m. The swearing-in ceremony is scheduled to begin.
10 a.m. Joe Biden will be sworn in as President of the United States. Kamala Harris will be sworn in as Vice President of the United States. Biden will deliver an inaugural address.
11:40 a.m. President Biden and Vice President Harris receive a military briefing.
12:25 p.m. President Biden, the first lady, Vice President Harris and the second gentleman will lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetary.
1:15 p.m. Presidential escort to the White House.
3:15 p.m. President Biden scheduled to sign executive orders in the Oval Office.
3:45 p.m. President Biden will swear in presidential appointees in a virtual ceremony from the Oval Office.
6:48 p.m. “Celebrating America” inaugural program.
7:55 p.m. President Biden and the first lady will make an appearance on the Blue Room Balcony.
