A man named Djamel Bensmail has reportedly been lynched in Algeria over suspicion of starting a wildfires.
Reports say he passed away after he was beaten and set on fire.
Algeria’s state prosecutor, according to reports, has directed that Bensmail death must be investigated.
African Entertainment understands that the lynching happened in the Tizi Ouzou area of Algeria.
The Tizi Ouzou area has been hardest hit by the fires in recent days.
At least 73 persons have reportedly died as a result of the wildfires.
