A 35-year-old man has died after he was shot in Chicago’s Englewood neighborhood Saturday afternoon.
According to Chicago police, the man was standing on a sidewalk in the 5600 block of South Racine at approximately 4:48 p.m. when he was approached by an unknown suspect.
That suspect then opened fire, striking the victim multiple times.
The suspect fled the scene on foot, and the victim was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
No suspects are in custody, and an investigation is underway.
