    MTV Base Postpones 2021 MTV Africa Music Awards


    Television music channel, MTV Base, has announced the postponement of the 2021 MTV Africa Music Awards, MAMA which was due to be held in Uganda’s capital, Kampala.

    Despite not giving any reasons, the TV company announced the postponement on Twitter, promising to keep their fans updated.

    According to reports there was an online campaign urging MTV Base to cancel its annual MTV Africa Music Awards over allegations of human rights abuses by the Ugandan government.
