#Roommates, sadly another racist incident is currently going viral involving a man from Stow, Ohio who recently went on a vicious racist rant towards a Black female DoorDash driver. James Rhodes exploded on the woman and her young daughter in a disgusting racist rant where he repeatedly called her the N-word and threatened to shoot her with an AK-47 for delivering food in his apartment complex.
Reporter David Begnaud of @CBSNews detailed the racist encounter, that has now been updated to include that James Rhodes was arrested and formally charged with aggravated menacing and ethnic intimidation—which is a felony. At the time of his arrest, Stow, Ohio police say that Rhodes told them that he was just angry and he doesn’t actually own any weapons.
Following his arrest, Rhodes has been evicted from the apartment complex where the incident occurred, and he has also been fired.
In the shocking video of the incident, Rhodes became enraged when the woman went around his car while in the apartment complex after she finished delivering her DoorDash order. As he screamed at her, calling her a dumb, n***er b**ch and saying that she had no business being there because she couldn’t afford the $1,000 monthly rent, he told her that he had several guns in his car and would shoot her. He was also blatantly aware of his actions and even referred to himself as “a racist mother f**ker.”
James Rhodes has not only lost his job and been evicted—but the Mayor of Stow, Ohio released an official statement firmly condemning his behavior, saying that he was saddened that the incident took place and also confirmed Rhodes’ arrest and formal charges.
At this time, no other details have been released, including Rhodes’ next court appearance.
