Two planes clipped each other at Chicago’s O’Hare Airport Thursday morning in an incident that is now under investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration.
According to the FAA, the wingtip of United Airlines Flight 1835 clipped the tail of All Nippon Airways Flight 8421 just before 10 a.m. Thursday.
Investigators said Flight 1835 was taxiing to its gate while Flight 8421 was “holding on another taxiway.”
“While taxiing to the gate, a United 737 lightly scraped the tail of another aircraft. Customers deplaned normally at the gate,” United Airlines said in a statement.
The Boeing 737 plane from Boston to Chicago had 154 passengers onboard and seven crew members. No injuries were reported.
The FAA said it will investigate the incident.
