More than 20 rideshare drivers came together at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and called their wages unfair and unjust.
ATLANTA — Rideshare drivers gathered in protest at the Atlanta airport Friday evening as they strike over demands of higher pay.
In a statement received by Lyft on Friday, the rideshare company said it “takes the concerns of drivers very seriously and are regularly exploring ways to improve their experience on the platform.”
They delved into how they introduced a new feature called Upfront Pay in Georgia and other states that shows drivers ride information and what they will earn before choosing to accept a ride.
“We also provide drivers a weekly pay summary that shows a breakdown of their earnings and the total amount riders paid,” Lyft’s statement read in part.

Lyft also mentioned that some of the fees collected in their fares go toward “maintaining and growing the business” which includes insurance costs, background checks and other expenses that attract more riders.
