The women’s hockey tournament at the 2026 Olympics is hitting the home stretch, with two high-profile semifinals taking place Monday.
The headline of the tournament so far has been the dominant play of Team USA, who have now won all five of their games by a combined score of 26-1.
That now includes a stunning 6-0 win over Italy in the quarterfinals, with the United States only allowing six shots on goal in the emphatic win.
Canada’s quest for a gold medal repeat is also alive and well after they beat Germany 5-1 on Saturday.
After the reseeding, the United States will face Sweden in one semifinal, while Canada will have a rematch with Switzerland, whom they beat 4-0 in round-robin play.
