Earlier this year, Shahid Kapoor walked out of Shashank Khaitan’s Yoddha. The actor was supposed to take up the actioner after completing his sports drama Jersey but chose to leave the project instead. Later, it was revealed he did so to be part of Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK’s OTT series, with which he’ll mark his OTT debut. Now, we hear that Shashank hasn’t given up on the dream of making Yoddha. He’s known for making comedies and wanted to break his image with Yoddha.
Apparently, it’s high octane, lavishly mounted action film shot across several international locations. As travel restrictions are in place right now, investing in such a venture isn’t possible. But Khaitan wants to revive it with Shahid once things return to normal. Meanwhile, he’s shooting Mr Lele, a raunchy comedy from the looks of it, with Vicky Kaushal and Bhumi Pednekar.
