
Six students were rushed to area hospitals after they apparently ingested THC-infused gummies at a suburban school Wednesday.
According to officials with Round Lake Area Schools District #116, paramedics were called to Round Lake Middle School on Wednesday morning after students appeared to become sick from the THC-infused gummies.
In all, six students were hospitalized, officials at the school said. All six students’ conditions have since stabilized, according to a letter sent to parents.
At this time, it is unclear how the students obtained the gummies, and an investigation is underway in coordination with the Round Lake Heights Police Department.
No further information was immediately available.
