Some 1,015 positive cases of coronavirus have been recorded among international travellers to Ghana.
The cases, according to the Ghana Health Service (GHS) in its latest case management update, were recorded after tests were conducted among international arrivals at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA).
It would be recalled that the KIA was shut down in March 2020 following the outbreak of the novel coronavirus in Ghana.
However, the Kotoka International Airport was reopened for business on September 1, 2020, with a mandatory covid-19 testing upon arrival made a condition for entering Ghana.

Ghana has in recent days recorded sharp rise in its coronavirus cases.
According to GHS, Ghana has recorded 391 new cases of Covid-19, increasing its total confirmed cases to 58,822.
Clinical recoveries from the coronavirus, according to the GHS, have increased to 56,286. Deaths linked to the virus remain 358.
Ghana’s active cases now stand at 2,178, says the GHS, with 82 patients in severe condition while 29 others are in critical condition.
