The Prime Minister of Tunisia, Hichem Mechichi, has been dismissed because violent protests in Tunisia over rising cases of coronavirus.
President Kais Saied announced Mr Mechichi’s dismissal.
The President, local media reports say, has also suspended parliament.
There were reported mass protests across Tunisia on Sunday.

The protests were over the Tunisian government’s handling of coronavirus in the country.
The Covid-19 increment also recently led to Tunisia’s health minister being sacked.
