Twin 1-month-old babies and their mother were reported missing Sunday, leading Illinois State Police to issue an alert.
According to authorities, 1-month-old Jaylen and Jayden Atkinson and their 17-year-old mother Zarreya Atkinson were last seen at 2 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of Shepard and East 146th Street in Dolton.
All three “have conditions that place them in danger,” according to state police, and residents are being urged to call 911 if they have any information on the trio’s whereabouts.
Jaylen and Jayden are described as Black infants with brown eyes and black hair, each 19 inches long and weighing five pounds, according to police.
Both children were last seen wearing gray and blue sleepers.
Their mother Zarreya is described as a Black female, standing 5-feet-10 inches tall and weighing 125 pounds. She has brown eyes and black hair.
