A man recently pulled off a memorable proposal in a rather unique setting – outside of a Chili’s in the terminal at O’Hare International Airport – with the help of some close friends.
Video posted on TikTok showed the couple walking hand in hand alongside their luggage as the now-bride-to-be beaming, apparently sensing something is up.
The couple exchanges some giddy moments before the big moment when the man gets on one knee and pops the question.
She quickly says yes, and the couple shares a kiss and embraces in a hug.
Video of the precious moments were posted on TikTok posted by user Counselormills and have gained more than 78,000 likes and been shared about 5,500 times.
“CONGRATS to the couple who got engaged today at the Chicago O’Hare airport chilis!!!” the poster said. “This guy’s best friends really did it up. Such a cool experience to watch it all unfold. Best of luck to you both!!!!”
Even Chili’s chimed in.
“Wait we’re freaking out,” the restaurant chain commented on the video.
Commenters were delighted, too.
“Strangers recording watching and clapping for engagements is possibly the one thing still giving me hope in humanity,” one TikTok user said.
“They are darling but seeing the security in the back and other people watching and recording was so heartwarming!!” another exclaimed.
