How many players will be on the USMNT’s World Cup roster?
The USMNT and all international teams are allowed to bring a maximum of 26 players to the World Cup. How that number is distributed across defenders, midfielders and forwards is up to the head coach, though there must be at least three goalkeepers.
In the event of an injury after the reveal, teams can submit a change to their squad due to injury or illness up to 24 hours before their first scheduled game of the tournament. FIFA must approve the request upon medical proof.
