Melvin Townsend III is trending after a video captured him being punched by Mike Tyson. this is Tyson’s second interaction with a crazed fan. Last month he encountered a man who pointed a gun at him in a bar.
The video shown on TMZ shows Mike Tyson sitting calmly at the table with friends before a man rudely disrupts a comedian’s set. Things go left when the man begins approaching Tyson saying, “I’m trying to upgrade my status. All I need is you. All I need is you.”
After the man at the bar challenged Tyson to a fight, he then pulled out a gun. The crowd urged him to leave.
The video then cuts to the man boldly approaching Tyson’s table again, asking him not to call the police.
Instead of giving the man grief for scaring the small crowd, the boxing legend embraced him with a hug.

But Tyson’s reaction was much different with the JetBlue incident. Instead of Tyson hitting the man who pulled a gun out on him, he gave him a hug.
So, what happened this time to bring the boxer to punching someone outside of the ring.
According to reports, the lawyer representing Melvin Townsend III says Townsend threw a water bottle at Tyson prior to getting punch.
36-year-old Townsend was allegedly intoxicated. Townsend also has a long rap sheet of violence and crime.
He has been involved in fraud, grand theft, burglary, trafficking in stolen property, and possession of controlled substances, which was for oxycodone. In addition, TMZ reported Friday. In 2018, the 36-year-old trespassed and then stole a trailer by hitching it to his pickup truck.
Nevertheless, Tyson’s response of hitting the man caught the wind of the attention.
