The women’s hockey tournament at the 2026 Olympics has wrapped up group play, and the quarterfinals will get underway on Friday.
The headline of the tournament so far has been the dominant play of Team USA, who won all four of their round-robin games and did so by a combined score of 20-1.
That included a 5-0 shutout victory over their long-time rival Canada, but if the two teams cross swords again in the gold medal game, the U.S. will surely have revenge on their minds after losing the gold in 2022 to the Canadian squad.
As for Canada, they went 3-1 in group play and are hoping to repeat as Olympic champions.
